Fear-Full Bravery

When I write a new poem

I get all my pains to enroll;

            and to write about my fear

can I be honest enough?

ok, I should be valorous;

            - huh?! freaks me out! -

as a poet, my greatest fear

is to know my muse is tough

or doesn’t like poetry I guess!

- breaks my heart, no doubt –

it’s a pain hard to thole

even with a full jeroboam!
